John Herbert, Inc. has been remodeling homes in Northern Baltimore County Maryland and Southern York County Pennsylvania since 1949. While the early years had a mix of new home construction and remodeling, in recent times we’ve become more specialized in the remodeling side of the business, particularly additions.

Our official mission statement says that we “strive to create long-term relationships within our community by providing peace of mind while making people’s homes what they want them to be.” Our unofficial mantra is “we want to look forward to running into you at the grocery store”. Too many people have bad stories to tell about their home improvement experience. We want our clients to have a great experience and share those stories with their friends. They must, because most of our work comes from referrals.

We can handle most any kind of home improvement project. We regularly do small jobs like replacing patio doors or constructing decks. We also do large whole house renovations and room additions. Many of which are as big and complex as an entire home.

We have designers that can take your ideas and blend them with our experience to create a remodeling project that meets your needs and adds lasting value to your home.
